Description: The caster is able to defy the sands of time, casting spells, moving about, and attacking normally while the rest of the world appears suspended, as if in stasis.
- Many multiplayer servers disable or change this spell since it pauses all actions on the server, which many players find disruptive. It is also often modified for reasons of balance, as the spell is commonly thought to be overpowered, due to both its unresistability and its effect.
- The character sheet might incorrectly report a dexterity of 3 for creatures affected by time stop. There is, however, no change to the dexterity score and modifier.
- As of a recent patch by Beamdog. All enemies are completely immune to damage magical or physical in nature. They are also granted temporary immunity (essentially immortality) to everything. Spell remains the same otherwise.
- Prior to patch 1.67, time stop required a somatic component even though it was not listed in the description.
