[edit] Bard abilities

What are the "bard abilities" mentioned in reference to the change to bard song? I thought the bard abilities were bardic knowledge and the bard song itself, but while bardic knowledge has a positive effect, I do not see it being combined into the bard song. --The Krit 20:45, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Be sure to report back if there is a reply, as that link does not work for non-members of that guild. --The Krit 08:44, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Druid abilities

Is this article trying to say that rangers and druids can change their animal companion at times other than level-up? (Being able to change the animal companion at level-up is standard.) Is this at will, or are there restrictions involved? --The Krit 08:45, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Yes, a special tool is used to select all companions and familiars, all magical creatures are removed from list, now only mundane creatures may be selected, with improved animal companions improving every few levels

I may have failed to grasp what the article was saying about a druid's wild shape abilities. What does "HD 4 forms" mean? (Should it be "4 HD forms"? If so, how are the druid's hit dice changed?) Why were all the shifter wild shape feats listed in the druid section instead of in the shifter section? --The Krit 08:45, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

all the forms have been modified, to either match 3.5 rules or for game balance, narc's reference to 4 HD forms probably means minotaur, gargoyles, etc. --Carcerian 12:37, 10 May 2009
Referring to minotaurs and gargoyles as "HD 4 forms" seems like a rather strange way to explain things, as that would only be understood by the people who already know what is being explained. I'm inclined to delete that portion of the article unless there is something informative added.

Well, I suppose wildshape giving access to minotaur and gargoyle forms, as opposed to animals, would be worth mentioning (if that is indeed the case). Is there a list of forms available (and is that list different than the standard list)? --The Krit 16:17, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Monk changes

I'm a bit confused by the parenthetical remark "(This assumes the character is a cleric or druid and has a wisdom bonus.)" in regards to limiting a monk's wisdom-based AC bonus. I know clerics and druids are the most likely to benefit from the exploit/feature, but that remark makes it appear as though clerics and druids are the only classes subject to the penalty. Is that so? --The Krit 00:09, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Im not sure there, but i belive the monk modifiers apply if a monk is multiclassed, thus allowing pure monks immunity from ac modifiers.
--Carcerian 12:37, 10 May 2009
I suppose the same goes for paladins and "(This assumes the player is sorcerer or bard and has a charisma bonus)" — any multiclassed paladin will have the saving throw bonus capped, not just paladins multiclassed with sorcerer or bard? --The Krit 16:35, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Tracking

Is a ranger's attempt to track opposed by move silently skill ranks (as the article states) or the current modified skill level? --The Krit 18:28, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Blackguard abilities

Some things do not make sense to me about the bonuses for a blackguard's fiendish servant. First off, what is the deal with intelligence being "at least" some number? What would make it be higher? Second, how can the fiendish servant receive bonuses at level 1, when there is no earlier version for comparison? For that matter, why does the table start at level 1 when the minimum level for summoning a fiendish servant is 11 (five blackguard levels plus six levels to qualify for blackguard)? Finally, with it clearly stated that these bonuses are based on "overall level", why does the table stop at level 20? Is there no epic progression for fiendish servants? --The Krit 16:35, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
