Talk:Bane of enemies

From NWNWiki

Would Manticore Tail Spikes also benefit from this? Bromium 08:49, 11 July 2007 (PDT)

Don't think so. The script for the spikes does not account for BoE in it. GhostNWN 09:35, 11 July 2007 (PDT)

Does this feat apply to unarmed strike and ranged weapons? --RAMss 07:10, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes. --The Krit 19:52, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

What type of damage does this feat deal? --RAMss 07:10, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

None in particular. It just adds to the base damage, whatever type that happens to be. (The same way the strength modifier is just added to the base damage.) --The Krit 19:52, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Count against AB Cap?

Does anyone know if the +2 Attack bonus here count against the +20 total Attack Bonus Cap? Or is it essentially treated like another Epic Weapon Focus type of feat that stacks with everything else? -- 68.236.115.2

It gets listed separately in the combat debugging feedback, so it probably does not count towards the +20 cap. --The Krit 23:50, 8 August 2007 (PDT)
Has anyone tested this? --RAMss 07:10, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Fine, I'll spawn a +20 weapon and actually test it.... It does not count towards the cap. --The Krit 19:52, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] DR

can bane 2d6 damage bypass damage resistance or reduction? --84.47.138.228 December 2007

No. Nothing bypasses damage resistance, and damage bonuses do not bypass damage reduction. A better question would be if the +2 to attack can pierce damage reduction, and the answer to that is also "no" (since it is not an enhancement of the weapon being wielded). --The Krit 17:36, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bane of enemies # of favored enemies.

Aren't the prerequisite's for BoE's ranger 21 & 5 favored enemies? Also do harper scouts favored enemies count towards the 5 (if it is required), if they do should a note be put in (here and the harper page)? If im wrong just disregard this. Sbtedarknight 08:31, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Don't rely on the manual. The in-game text makes no mention of the number of favored enemies. --The Krit 17:36, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
I checked the grimoire and it is as stated. I'll cross check with that first if I have any other thoughts/comments. Sbtedarknight 20:15, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Critical hits

Is this damage multiplied by a critical hit? Or is it similiar to a sneak attack? --99.252.189.135 August 15, 2009

  • Yes. No. --The Krit 04:52, September 7, 2009 (UTC)
