Ranged weapon

A ranged weapon refers to an item which can be used to perform an attack roll and are primarily for the purpose of attacking at a distance (i.e., while not in melee combat).

• Ranged weapons can either consume ammunition or can be thrown.
• Ranged weapons with unlimited ammunition will not accept alternative ammunition in the appropriate item slot for use
• If a ranged weapon is used in melee, the PC suffers a -4 penalty and provokes an attack of opportunity. The penalty can be reduced by taking the point blank shot feat.
• If the target is running, the attacker suffers a -2 penalty to attack roll.
