Panther (familiar)
From NWNWiki
Panthers are strong cats that complement their master's magical ability with brute power. Black as a Chultan night and just as deadly, these sleek cats attack from the shadows, disappearing back into them once the hunt is through.

[edit] Special abilities
All panther familiars have spell resistance dependent on the master's level. In addition, their natural attacks (claws and bite) increase in base damage and enhancement bonus as levels are gained.

[edit] Notes
- This familiar has one level more than its master until master level 40. (The master level 40 version is identical to the master level 39 version.) References to "level" with regards to this familiar typically mean "master level".
- The master level 33 and 38 versions are slightly bugged in that they have the same level as their master (one level lower than they should be).
- A panther familiar's uncanny dodge ability improves as that of a rogue of the familiar's level (that is one level above the master's level). Its sneak attack also improves as that of a rogue, but only to level 19 (for a +10d6 damage bonus).
- Constitution is the ability that increases over the lower levels (up to level 15), while dexterity increases in the later levels (starting at level 20).
- The traditional strengths of the rogue class were split between this familiar and the pixie. Specifically, the pixie received the lock and trap skills, while the panther received the evasion, sneak attack, and uncanny dodge feats.
- The level 33, 38, and 40 versions of this familiar have bugged tags in that these tags end in "32", "37", and "39" instead of "33", "38", and "40", respectively.
