OSRS logo
From NWNWiki
The OSRS logos described in this article are used to identify submissions to the Open Source Rule Set (OSRS). Each logo is accompanied by a detailed list describing its intended use.
[edit] OSRS submission logo
- Used to identify content that has been submitted to OSRS.
- This logo can be used with content (not in NWNWiki) for which an OSRS feature article (in NWNWiki) has been created.
- The article is treated like any other public content submission and may provide external links (to the content), but may not consist solely of links.
- This logo must be used as a hyperlink to the corresponding NWNWiki article.
- The hyperlink provides instant verification that the content has indeed been submitted and is under public review by the OSRS team.
- Use of this logo shows belief and participation in the wiki foundations of open source, public domain, and collective development.
- Use of this logo helps authors by verifying to third parties that the content has been submitted for public review, discussion, and further enhancement.
- Use of this logo helps OSRS by generating further interest in OSRS.
- Use of this logo does not certify that content is compatible, only that it has been submitted for inclusion as part of OSRS. This in itself is a candid assertion that the author believes the content to be worthy of inclusion in a world-class public rules set.
- Anyone who finds a logo in use that does not link to a correct NWNWiki article is encouraged to post a message on the logo's talk page.
[edit] OSRS content logo
- Used to identify content that has been successfully merged into OSRS.
- Content is considered "successfully merged" when the author has been notified that the content has been certified.
- Having the OSRS certification logo indicates that submitted content has been successfully integrated into OSRS and is now and integral part of it.
- This logo can be included and referenced by custom content once it has been reviewed by the OSRS community.
- This certification is similar to the quality that CEP compatibility provides to custom content providers.
