Instant feats are feats that need to be activated to use, but that take effect instantly. Unlike most feats, instant feats bypass the action queue and lack an activation animation.
Instant feats were added in patch 1.66, but no official content made use of these until patch 1.69, at which point the following instant feats were added to the game: rallying cry, heroic shield, oath of wrath, horse menu (and all sub-options), DM tools, and player tools.
