Hawk

From NWNWiki

hawk portrait

The hawk is a silent and stealthy animal companion, able to remain hidden when others are easily detected, making it the perfect scout. It is also capable of disarming opponents.

With their keen senses and quick movements, hawks are efficient hunters. Many have even been trained to disarm foes.

[edit] Special abilities

A hawk companion's natural attack (claws) increases in base damage and enhancement bonus as levels are gained. In addition, the hawk gains damage reduction at later levels.

1 1d4

30 1d8 +5 20/+2
35 1d8 +5 20/+3
40 1d8 +5 20/+4

Due to a bug, hawk animal companions have no creature weapon at level 40, nor do they have damage reduction. The values in the above table are what the hawk was intended to have at this level.

[edit] Notes

  • This animal companion's skills do not improve as level increases.
  • The level 40 version of this companion is bugged in that it has no creature weapon and must fight unarmed. This means it loses its enhancement bonus, deals less base damage, and provokes attacks of opportunity.
    • A fix for this bug is available here.
