Type of feat: class (given based on class levels)
Prerequisite: arcane archer 10
Specifics: At 10th level, an arcane archer can enchant an arrow once per day that forces a target, if damaged by the arrow, to make a fortitude save or be slain.
Use: combat mode selected
Notes[]
- Added in the expansion packs.
- The difficulty class of the save is 20. The save is not versus death magic, but death magic immunity will block the death effect.
- This is a ranged touch attack with an attack roll of d20 + weapon AB (item property) + AB increase (effect) + BAB + dexterity modifier. (Enchant arrow does not help on the touch attack roll).
- The piercing damage inflicted by a successful hit is the sum of weapon base damage (d6 for a shortbow or d8 for a longbow), strength modifier, weapon specialization (if applicable), and epic weapon specialization (if applicable).
- This damage is tripled in the case of a critical hit.
- This damage is intended to penetrate damage reduction according to the arcane archer's enchant arrow bonus, but before NWN:EE a bug in the game (not the script) will prevent this.
- A successful hit also deals magical damage equal to the arcane archer's enchant arrow bonus.
- This ability can target doors and placeables (if invoked from a quickslot or the archer's radial menu). These objects automatically fail their saving throw (no roll is made), and, in this case, "slain" means "destroyed if not plot or indestructible".
