Enhancement bonus

Enhancement bonus is a weapon item property that adds a number of bonuses to the weapon.

• It increases the wielder's attack bonus by the enhancement amount.
• It increases the damage inflicted by the enhancement amount.
• It can be used to bypass damage reduction.

However, an enhancement bonus does not stack with an item's attack bonus, nor with an item's damage bonus when the damage bonus is of the same damage type as the weapon's base damage. (The bonus from enchant arrow is the notable exception to this rule.)
