Armor protects a character during combat. Most armor interferes with arcane spellcasting, and bulky armor can restrict a character's dexterity modifier, lowering certain skill checks.

There are several types of armor in Neverwinter Nights including: Helmets, Clothing, Light armor, Medium armor, Heavy armor, and Shields.
