Blind

From NWNWiki

Blind

Blinded creatures have a 50% miss chance and a -4 penalty to all attack rolls.

Additionally there is a -4 penalty to discipline, hide, move silently, open lock, parry, pick pocket, set trap and tumble. Further those blinded will not be able to directly target creatures at a distance with spells or attacks, and are considered flat-footed. Those attacking a blind creature receive a +2 bonus to their attack roll.

  • True seeing negates the -4 penalty to attack rolls and skills, and the +2 bonus that attackers get against you, and allows one to see and target creatures at a distance. The 50% attacker miss chance and the flat-footed condition still remain.
  • Blind fight negates the -4 penalty to attack rolls, the 50% attacker miss chance, the flat-footed condition, and the +2 bonus that attackers get against you. The -4 penalty to skills still remains, as does the inability to target creatures at a distance.
  • The -4 penalty to attack rolls is for attacking an unseen character. It is not applied multiple times for other instances of not being able to see the target (e.g. target invisible).
